PXLB is more than a nonprofit—we're a movement powered by people. From neighborhood resource fairs to healing-centered workshops and youth-led art installations, our events bring families, funders, and future leaders together.
Check out what we’ve been up to—and what’s coming next.
On Thursday, September 19, 2025, PXLB is proud to join Long Beach Gives to strengthen families and create lasting change in Long Beach. Every gift supports our SHIFT programs for middle school, high school, parents, and justice-impacted youth, giving young people and families healing-centered tools to grow, lead, and break cycles of harm. Through Gentle Care, we provide washers and dryers in schools so students can learn with dignity, while Loads of Kindness brings free laundry support to families across the community. Our signature event, P.E.A.C.E. in the Park, creates a citywide space for healing, connection, and resources that prepare youth for school and families for success. Guided by our framework Support, Heal, Inspire, Flourish, Transform, we’re building not just programs, but systems-level change. Your support ensures this movement continues to thrive, carrying peace and possibility forward for generations.

Free and open to the public
Each year, PXLB brings together families and local service providers for a holiday resource day rooted in dignity, gratitude, and support. In 2024, we distributed over 250 turkeys and side dish kits, while connecting attendees to essential services.
The event will feature food distributions, hygiene supplies, and direct access to housing, health, and employment resources. Translation services and wraparound support will be available on site.
A community day for families, healing, and connection
At the center of P.E.A.C.E. in the Park is The Heart of the Village. This annual gathering is more than an event; it’s a grassroots space where families can slow down, support one another, and choose peace together.
Through SHIFT Support, Heal, Inspire, Flourish, and Transform, we carry peace forward, not just for today, but for generations to come.
